Keith S. Caplan served honorably for over three decades as a Special Agent with the United States Treasury Department and was posted in Trenton, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; East Brunswick, NJ; and Las Vegas, NV. Keith has been involved in nearly every conceivable type of investigation: Identity Theft, Counterfeiting of Currency and Checks, Tax Evasion, Money Laundering, Murder for Hire, Narcotics, Threats, Assaults, Terrorism, Automobile Accident Tort Claims, Public Corruption. Bribery, Extortion, False Statements, False Documents, Corporate and Government Embezzlement, Loan Fraud, Worker's Compensation Fraud, Theft of Confidential Information, Destruction of Property and many others. Keith is skilled in physical surveillance and undercover operations and has extensive training and experience in kinesic interviewing and statement analysis relating to witness/victim interviews and subject interrogations. Throughout his career, Keith served as a police defensive tactics and use of force instructor and can thus provide expert witness testimony relative to the use of force by law enforcement. Keith also served as an Electronic Surveillance Specialist, Evidence Custodian, Drug Recognition Specialist, Joint Terrorism Task Force Representative, and Victim/Witness Liaison. Keith is a distinguished expert marksman and has served as a firearms armorer.
As a Federal Agent and now as a Licensed Private Investigator, Keith holds true to the highest standards of integrity. He was required to qualify for and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance during his career in government service and remains committed to meeting the benchmark set by The Counsel of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency Quality Standards for Investigations. Keith is the recipient of numerous decorations, to include multiple United States Attorney awards for outstanding investigations.
Keith holds a bachelor's degrees in Social Science and Criminology from Rutgers University. He is a graduate of a multitude of law enforcement training programs at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, where he also served as an instructor. When he isn't pursuing truth and justice for his clients, Keith is active in health and fitness, is an avid musician, as well as a vintage car enthusiast.
